Location. The Shelbourne is located in central Dublin, Ireland, within 500 metres of The National History Museum, National Art Gallery and National Concert Hall. Dublin Castle and Trinity Castle are one kilometre away, and the nearest train station is within 500 metres.
Hotel Features. Set in a red-brick 19th- century building, the Shelbourne is situated across from Stephen's Green park. Ornate cast iron fencing accents the entrance, and tall pillars and a crystal chandelier adorn the lobby. There is a porter available to assist guests with luggage, a room service menu, and valet parking available at the front of the hotel.

The Saddle Room restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, and serves steak and seafood dishes, as well as featuring an Oyster Bar. Lord Mayor's Lounge serves afternoon tea, and Number 27 Bar and Lounge opens each day serving snacks and cocktails.

There are 13 meeting rooms and an exhibition space at the Shelbourne. A business centre is open to guests, and Internet connections are available in public areas for (surcharge).

Guestrooms. The Shelbourne has 265 air- conditioned guestrooms designed by Frank Nicholson. All feature feather beds with Rivolta Carmignani 300 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding. Expert Tip. Visit Johnny Fox's pub, the highest pub in Ireland. Located 26 kilometres from the hotel, the pub is also one of the country's oldest pubs, and features dancing performances on 'Hooley night'. The city's bars, restaurants and shopping of Temple Bar are within two kilometres.

Getting There. Number 747 And 748 Airlink Buses Connect The Airport To Dublin City Centre, And Depart Every 15 Minutes. Tickets Can Be Bought From The Driver And The Single Fare Is About 6 Eur. A 24-Hour Service To Central Dublin And Dublin South Is Offered By Aircoach. Local Bus Services Regularly Depart From The Arrivals Terminal, Connecting To Destinations Throughout The City And Its Suburbs. Taxis Cost About 35 Eur To The Shelbourne. Prices Are All Subject To Change.

Getting Around. Dublin City Centre And Temple Bar's Cobbled Streets Can Easily Be Explored On Foot. Dublin's Extensive Double-decker Bus System And Tram Network Operate Throughout The City And The Suburbs. Taxis Are Available At Ranks, And Can Also Be Hailed On The Street. Parking In The City Centre Is Limited And Expensive, But A Car Is Recommended For Exploring Further Afield.
