Housed in a beautiful Modernist building in the city centre, this boutique hotel provides a classy setting for your visit to the Catalan capital.

The building of the HCC Taber was originally designed by the famous Barcelona architecture, Domènech i Montaner. It still retains its characteristic wrought-iron balconies and large bay windows.

Right in the city’s elegant heart, the hotel lies just off the classy boulevards of Rambla de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. From here you can easily walk to the main square of Plaça Catalunya and on to the Gothic Quarter and Ramblas.

Finish off a day’s sightseeing with a drink in the Taber’s cosy bar. Then, relax in your room with modern amenities such as free high-speed internet.

Hotel information

The hotel was refurbished in 2007 and has a clean, continental style. Added to this you will find a business centre and several meeting rooms. In addition, Wi-Fi internet covers many of the Taber’s public areas, which includes a welcoming lounge bar. Luggage storage is another on-site convenience.

Food & beverage

Start the day with the Taber’s varied buffet breakfast, including pastries, cold meats, cheeses and juices. Warm, à la carte options are also available. Breakfast is served daily between 07:00 and 11:00.

Area information

In the nearby Passeig de Gracia you will find some of the best-known examples of Modernist architecture. These include Gaudí’s famous Casa Batlló and La Pedrera.

Important information

Children under 12 years stay free when sharing the room with 2 adults, but extra beds or cots must be confirmed by the hotel at time of booking. It is compulsory to request the extra bedding in advance and is subject to confirmation by the hotel.

Children of 12 years and over are charged at the adult rate in a Triple Room.

I asked to change room and it happened without any problems. The location was superb for sight-seeing. The hotel was very well-preserved and looked new.

I was asked to pay for my whole stay *in advance*, at check-in time. My initial request (at booking time) about a room in the higher floors to avoid street noise was discarded. The room was ridiculously small (but the bathroom was bigger than average).

Great location beside Railway station - also acess into Den Haag and the shops and restaurants !!!!
